Prepare Well for the Board Exams

Board exams are one of the most important milestones in a student’s life, be it the X or the XII boards. As the exams approach, the stress levels increase. The stressed-out parents knowingly or unknowingly pass on the stress to their children who are already striving to survive under peer pressure and the overwhelming competition. The Board marks are given a lot of importance as they decide the stream you will be eligible for and in the H.Sc, the admissions depend on them.

TERM-2 exams are round the corner and this time students are more anxious because this is for the first time in history that Board exams are taking place twice in a year. The pattern of the CBSE exam pattern is very different than previous years.

Here is a POINTS to PONDER checklist for the upcoming CBSE board exams, which will assist you in your last-minute preparation.

  1. STAY HEALTHY

To be the most productive on your exam day, start your day early with a morning workout. Exercise a bit and sit for meditation for 15-20 minutes. Eat healthy like salad, juice, soup, a balanced wholesome diet. Binge eating is a strict NO-NO. Take at least 8-Hours of SLEEP every day. Avoid late-night studies. Sleep early and get up early.

  1. UNDERSTAND THE EXAM PATTERN FOR TERM-2

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new evaluation scheme for Class 10 students. According to CBSE, the examinations will be conducted offline from April 26, and the examination pattern will be the same as the Term-2 sample papers. Practice Term 2 Sample papers and familiarize yourself with the CBSE Term 2 exam pattern.

  1. PRACTICE MOCK-TESTS

A week prior to the exam, schedule subject-wise 90-minute practice sessions for yourself, and the timings should also be the same. As you already know the duration of the examination will be 90 minutes, the timings would be 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. You can also solve a Term-2 sample paper and many other mock-tests.

  1. REVISE NOTES AND PRACTIVE NCERT QUESTIONS

Revise each chapter and topic with a proper time-table. You may also revise from the notes you have prepared. Make sure to practice all NCERT questions as 90 percent of the questions are from NCERT books.

  1. KEEP EXAM ESSENTIALS READY

Make a special docket for all essentials like examination hall ticket, ID proof, stationery or any other documents. Keep them ready in advance to avoid last minute PANIC. Visit the examination center4-5 days before the examination so you know the exact location.

  1. STAY OPTIMISTIC

An optimistic attitude creates a positive aura around you and can help you to overcome any calamity. Pessimism increases the levels of anxiety which is a sure shot formula for a nervous breakdown. An optimistic attitude helps to maintain your confidence level and do well in the examinations. Have faith in your abilities and your preparation.
